Kłopoty z radiomuseum

Post autor: Jasiu »

Dear interested in Radiomuseum.org,
We have grown to about 8400 members, of which around 2900 are English speakers. In spite of these numbers, in the long run our hobby may be in danger, and that is one of the reasons why I have created the “Museum Finder.” The objective is to bring our hobby to the attention of all variety of technically inclined people – and thereby recruit new enthusiasts to the world of antique communications technology. You can read more about the Museum Finder and find a link to it within the following article:

http://www.radiomuseum.org/forum/musem_ ... goals.html

You might have to compose the two peaces of the link (incl. to ...html)

This article also explains why the list of museums isn’t limited to just radio museums.

The Museum Finder has just been launched, and is a work in progress, both in terms of its content and its functionality. It is a strategically important
project for RMorg and the antique radio community in general. What will
your radio collection be worth in the future, without a new generation of collectors to follow in your footsteps?
There are many opportunities to help with the Museum Finder, so I am looking for motivated volunteers who are willing and able to work independently and responsibly.
Please contact me to help, if you can rightfully claim some of the following personal traits:
- A very sociable and outgoing personality
- A high level of self motivation
- Ability to work independently
- Reliability
- Persistence (sticking with a task, even when those with whom you are
working don’t come through at first)
- Assertiveness, but balanced with a willingness to compromise
- Articulate, with good writing skills

Please respond to volunteer only if you are certain you can work independently and are willing to dedicate the necessary time to do the job well. Often people are quick to volunteer, but don’t follow through in the end. With all the correspondence I need to attend to (20-50 emails per day), I’d really prefer not to have to answer emails from people who simply want to comment, or won’t really turn out to be helpful volunteers. (In fact, I could use some help dealing with emails from guests, if someone would like to volunteer for that!)

Cordially,
Ernest, Switzerland
